A new report says that you should only eat one burger a week if you want to do what's right for your health.

The report also recommends less than 4 eggs a week and only one serving of dairy a day.

In addition, the report says that eating red meat is not good for the environment because of the land and feed required to raise cattle, which also emit the greenhouse gas methane. The experts who wrote the report say that red meat consumption needs to be cut in half globally.

According to an article in Quartz, Americans were expected to eat 222 pounds of red meat and poultry in 2018. That works out to 2.4 burgers per person per day.

However, another report says that Americans only eat 3 burgers per week.

The new report was produced by EAT, a Stockholm-based nonprofit seeking to improve the food system, according to The New York Times.

The report, which was written by 37 scientists from 16 countries, encourages a diet consisting of whoe grains, beans, fruits and most vegetables. It also suggests limiting added sugars, refined grains and starches.
