Meth disguised as candy was confiscated from a student at a California middle school, according to KCRA Channel 3.

It happened at Ione Junior High School. The student was seen sniffing the pill during Monday's lunch period.

Although the student claimed it was candy, a test revealed that it was actually methamphetamine.

A school administrator said in a statement that it was scary to see drugs that looked just like candy.

The school urged parents to talk to their children about not taking anything from other students, even if it looks like candy.
