Kombucha is brewing a lot of interest among health nuts because of its so-called medicine-like properties. But, is it actually good for you?
The process of making the bubbly drink is pretty straightforward. Dry yeast and bacteria are added into a batch of steeped tea.
The tea is transformed into kombucha and is supposedly filled with billions of probiotics.
This is one of the main reasons people are willing to pay $5 a bottle.
Experts say there has not been enough research yet about kombucha to determine if there really is a health benefit.
But, it may be a better alternative to soda.
