A comedian and his two friends recently set out to prove that it is easier to buy a gun in Nevada than it is to buy a house or a car.
Steve Hofstetter took a hidden camera to a gun show in Henderson.
The whole process only took about 5 minutes, $300 and a friend with a state ID.
Hofstetter next talked to a realtor about how long it would take to buy a house or rent an apartment. The realtor told him four to seven days.
He also proves in the video that it takes longer to rent a car or obtain a fishing license.
The comedian even demonstrates that it is more difficult to find a restaurant that will let him bring in his dog than it is to buy a gun.
Hofstetter told Inside Edition that he had a feeling that it would be pretty easy to buy a gun, but he was hoping that he was wrong.
Hofstetter says that most of the reaction to his video has been positive, but he's also been criticized. He also said that the system needs to change.
P.S. Hofstetter did not actually purchase the gun. After receiving comments from people saying that he had purchased the gun illegally (straw purchase), he posted a statement to YouTube saying that he and his friends just make it look that way.
