A talented high school senior in Harlem, New York made his Ivy League dreams come true.
Winston Perez was born in the Dominican Republic and was brought to the U.S. by his mom when he was nine years old. He attends a prep school and applied to one of the toughest Universities to get into - Cornell.
Perez was surrounded by friends and his mother as he received his acceptance letter.
"As soon as I turned to [my mom], she couldn't say anything," said Perez. "She was crying because she was waiting for that moment."
His mother says getting her son a good education has always been a priority for her.
Perez says he plans to become an architect after graduating college.
