A professional poker player has lost 70 pounds in just 6 months after his buddies bet him $1 million that he couldn't do it.

36-year-old Walter Fisher is now sporting a chiseled beach bod. Just 8 months ago, he tipped the scales at 245 pounds.

He wasn't doing so well at the poker tables either. He was half a million dollars in debt.

His luck changed in December when his friend challenged him to get his body fat down to just 10 percent.

He started going to the gym 10 hours a day, traded cheesecake for chicken breasts, fish and vegetables, and hired a trainer.

He is now down to 175 pounds and is walking away with $600,000.

Fisher says it wasn't just the bet that motivated him though. He wants to be around for his nephews and nieces.
