Firefighters rescue moose trapped in ice

A young moose was rescued in Canada after it slipped and fell into an icy river.

According to CBC News, firefighters used axes to break the ice and open a passage and then led the moose to the bank near Shediac, New Brunswick.

CBC News reported the operation took about an hour.

In addition, this was the second time in three days a wild animal was rescued from thin ice in Canada, according to CBC News.
