A dachshund in Texas is now a weight-loss inspiration.
Eight months ago, 7-year-old "Fat Vincent" was 38 pounds.
Fat Vincent could barely walk and had high cholesterol. Fat Vincent was also obviously depressed.
Fat Vincent was dumped at a county animal shelter after his owner died. It was there that he began packing on the pounds.
The dog is with a rescue group now and he has lost 17 pounds since his diet was changed and he began exercising.
Vincent has another pound and a half to go and then he will be available for adoption, according to WGNTV in Chicago.
