Manatees pay Florida paddleboarders a visit

Here’s an experience two paddleboarders won’t soon forget.

Celine Chasteen said she and her friend came across two manatees in Jupiter.

She said one was really playful and kept rolling on its back. It then even put its flippers on her board.

She called it “the craziest thing ever.”

Manatees are protected. As a reminder, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said that if a manatee avoids you, do not chase the animal for a closer view. Wildlife officers say look, but don’t touch.
