Apple says they're interested in building self-driving cars.
According to the BBC, Apple sees potential in the "significant societal benefits of automated vehicles." The company has already registered several car-related internet domains in anticipation of the new investment.
Google is already testing self-driving cars, and Tesla announced that all of its cars will have the hardware installed to drive on their own. Ford also plans on rolling out automated vehicles by 2021.
