Nevada's ongoing battle with the federal government over Yucca Mountain is heating up.
A House subcommittee talked with Nevada political leaders on Thursday.
They want to find middle ground on the controversial proposed nuclear waste site.
Representatives on both sides of the aisle say the federal government still has a long way to go before Nevada feels comfortable accepting the site.
Committee members say approval of the site would require consent from Nevada and other stakeholders.
