The YMCA of Southern Nevada is committed to serving all Las Vegas families whose children are engaged in full or part time distance learning this fall, by providing high-quality, full day care.

The Y Cares Educational Enrichment Program will combine fun, character-building activities with an educational enrichment component. Y Cares will take place Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. across all four locations in the valley.

It is open for ages 5-15 and will run for the entirety of the 2020 fall semester beginning Aug. 24.

The weekly rate is $150. A $30 drop-in rate is available as well. For households with multiple children, a sibling discount of 50% off of each additional participant will apply.

In addition, The Y is able to offer financial assistance for any families in need. Thanks to a number of generous donors in our community, a 50% discount will be granted to families who qualify. Three of the Y’s four locations will also provide free lunch to participants and all young people under the age of 18.

The overarching goal of Y Cares is to develop today’s youth into tomorrow’s leaders. The program focuses on providing children with the support and guidance they need to successfully complete their online classwork, while also providing the high-quality enrichment programming that the Y is known for.

Spots will be limited each week, and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
