A Henderson woman is sending a warning to pool owners: thieves could be after your expensive pool cleaning equipment.
Margie Delton noticed something off in her backyard Sunday morning. The hose attached to her pool cleaner was out of the water.
"I thought 'Well, maybe my granddaughter, they were swimming last night, maybe she left it out,'" Delton said.
She went outside to check it out and found the pool cleaning machine had been detached from the hose.
Upon watching surveillance video, Delton soon discovered a thief had hopped the fence to her backyard, fished the pool cleaner out of the pool, and ran back to a truck...all in under a minute.
"I could have been sitting right there, you know?" Delton said.
Delton said she called a pool supplies store to inquire about a rebate. She said an employee told her they've been hearing reports of similar stories across Henderson and Anthem.
