A woman was killed in a crash on Thursday on Lee Canyon Road.

Nevada Highway Patrol say it happened around 8:45 p.m. No other vehicles were involved.

The Clark County coroner identified the deceased on Friday as 21-year-old Oceania Azure Shaw of Las Vegas. The official cause of death is still pending.

NHP said Oceania was not wearing a seatbelt.

"She was always the person to get in the car and say seatbelt on, seatbelt on," said her mother Nicole Shaw. "So why she wouldn't have put her seatbelt on that night, I don't know."

Her mother said Oceania loved her job at the ski and snowboard resort. She was on her way home when she crashed Thursday night.

Oceania was an organ donor and her mother says her organs are being used to save other's lives.

"She was the person that no matter what was going on in her life she was going to be there to brighten someone else's day," Nicole said.

Her mother also hopes others will learn from the tragedy and wear their seatbelts.
