At 12:12 a.m. a deadly traffic collision that involved a car and a pedestrian occurred on N. Durango Drive, south of West Hitt Center Court.
Police collected evidence at the scene and gathered witness statements that showed a red 2004 Ford Mustang struck a female pedestrian crossing the road with a walker, attempting to beat traffic.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported the woman to UMC Trauma where she was later pronounced dead.
