It was a chilly and windy Christmas in southern Nevada.
In Henderson Friday night, winds were whipping around at speeds of 25 miles per hour and by Saturday, they could be reaching 40 miles per hour.
Parts of Henderson got snow early Friday morning. For people who have lived here their whole lives, these weather conditions are an unusual, and welcome, change.
Barrett Munson of Henderson said it was awesome that it snowed. It only happens every few years so you can't help but appreciate it, he said.
The weather didn't change any of Munson's plans. He spent Christmas watching movies with his family.
