LAS VEGAS (KTNV) - In the wake of this week's tragedy, Nevadans are coming together. Many locals and visitors feel compelled to show their love for this city.
And some are doing it with a simple t-shirt. But we want to make sure you understand, not every t-shirt is created equally.
"I came here to buy a shirt to support them, the families and the whole community," says John, who just bought a shirt.
You're looking at a "Vegas Strong" shirt made by Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More. The shop's located on Southern Highlands Parkway and Cactus.
"Never under estimate the power of a t-shirt," says Robyn Brewington.
She's co-owner and says they've given away nearly 500 of the shirts. Now they're selling them for just $8, and they're working on hundreds of new orders.
"It's been just incredible, everybody wants to have one because I think they want to feel like they're showing, on their person, how they feel about this," says Robyn.
Bill is visiting from Bakersfield and says he just had to get his hands on one.
"I like the community, I like the people and I just figured I'd come over here and get a t-shirt and back up the Vegas community," says Bill.
And that's exactly what he's doing. Robyn says her store is donating the money earned from these shirts to help victims and their families. Local resident Courtney just bought a shirt and says she couldn't be more proud of her home.
"It's pride. Vegas has come together like I've never seen before," says Courtney.
Now there are a number of websites selling "Vegas Strong" t-shirts. But this is the only place we can confirm, donating the profits from their sales. But you need to be patient. This is a small shop and they aren't taking any more orders over the phone. But if you visit the store they'll be happy to take your order and have it to you in 2-5 days.
