A burglar hits a valley homeowner twice in one week and gets caught red-handed the second time around.

Victor Cabezas captured the confrontation on his home security cameras.

As he pulls into his driveway near Desert Inn Road and McLeod Drive, the stranger is walking away with a pool motor taken from Cabezas' backyard.

"I said, 'What are you doing here?'" Cabezas said. "(He said) 'I am the pool guy, I am the pool guy.' I said, 'Get out of my house.'"

Then the video shows the stranger drops the motor and run to his car.

Cabezas says he couldn't get a picture of the license plate in time.

This wasn't the first time Cabezas had seen the man. He recognized the face from his own security cameras.

In another story that was only on 13 Action News, the same man and an accomplice stole $600 worth of pool equipment from Cabezas' property.

Neighbors say the burglaries are a hot topic on the street, and they're banding together to form a neighborhood watch of sorts.

"We're all looking out for Victor and how these guys show up and catch us at the wrong time that we're not out there," said John Daniels, who lives two doors down from Cabezas.

Cabezas is raising his gate six feet higher to give burglars much more of a challenge.

The contractor suggested putting spikes on top too. He said that is one of the best ways to deter burglars.
