LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A viral video out of Florida is sparking new concerns over employee safety at fast food restaurants.

A Florida man was arrested for attacking a McDonald's employee over reportedly not getting a straw.

Thursday, a local R Burgers owner told 13 Action News that this type of behavior is not acceptable.

“That young lady was just coming into work, trying to make a living and to go through that... it's just horrible, and that would never happen here," owner Kosta Tsolis said.

Daniel Taylor, 41, is facing battery charges, according to authorities, after grabbing and hitting employees seen on the video.

Mcdonald's also released a statement after the situation:

Our highest priority is always the safety and wellbeing of our employees and customers at our restaurants.

Tsolis said if something like this were to happen at his restaurant he would jump right in.
