Victims who lost their lives due to deadly domestic violence incidents were remembered at a ceremony hosted by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Southern Nevada Domestic Violence Task Force on Thursday.

Undersheriff Kevin McMahill and Victim Advocate Supervisor Elynne Greene officiated at the ceremony. The names of nineteen people lost to deadly domestic violence incidents between July 1, 2014 and June 30, 2015 were added to a plaque.

Following the reading of the name and age of each victim, a rose was placed in a vase to honor the victim’s life.

The plaque will join other plaques which contain the names of over 300 victims who have lost their lives to domestic violence within the last thirteen years.
