LAS VEGAS (KNTV) — Las Vegas police say firearms were found inside a vehicle in the area of Eastern Avenue near the 215 beltway on Thursday.
The discovery was made shortly before 5 p.m. Oct. 3 after police officers made contact with multiple people near a vehicle in a parking lot. The address of the parking lots matches that of Regal Colonnade movie theaters.
As the officers interacted with the individuals, they learned that there were firearms located within the vehicle.
At this point in time, police do not suspect any criminal activity. No individuals were arrested and no citations were issued.
Las Vegas police said earlier in the week that they planned to step up patrols near local theaters because of concerns of violence nationwide in response to the release of the movie "Joker."
