UNLV has purchased $50 million worth of land.
The 42 acres of vacant land is located on Tropicana Avenue just east of Koval Lane.
Plans for the property include a future UNLV campus expansion.
The land would also provide an opportunity for UNLV to build a football stadium on the site, and allow the university to host their home games on campus.
