On Tuesday, the KTNV phone lines were lighting up with callers reporting a mysterious "light in the sky."  U.S. Strategic Command Officials later confirmed the object appears to have been a Russian booster rocket re-entering orbit.

"I was scared because it was really close to us and it was huge," said Troy Griffin.

The 11 year-old was playing basketball with a group of friends when they looked up and saw the mysterious object.

"Oh my gosh! Are you kidding me!" said 13 year-old Joey Forslund as he recorded the light show on his cell phone.

The light was spotted shortly after 6p.m. and lasted several minutes.

"It was just an amazing experience to have especially around Christmas time," said Forslund.

The streak stunned, confused, and excited countless viewers.
