LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A Las Vegas man who travels the country playing his piano, without asking for money, is now in need of help.

"All I've ever wanted in my life is to be a part of something," says Danny Kean. "I want to share what I have to offer."

Over 30 years ago, Kean sold his home and hit the road to play piano full time from the bed of his truck. It's known as the "Traveling Piano."

"Through the years, I just started being pulled to different tragic events," says Kean.

Danny and his dog Mo have been to Virginia Tech, Hurricane Katrina, Sandy Hook, and San Bernardino. Danny never imagined one of those tragic events would hit right in his backyard.

Since the 1 October shooting, Danny and Mo can usually be found at the Healing Garden.

"I wanted to be here playing because I knew the music is very healing," says Kean.

Now, he may have to give up his piano. Kean says his truck is breaking down, his piano needs repair, and his speakers are blown out. He started a fundraiser, hoping the community he once helped to heal could help him now.
