Touro University has released new research on the West Nile virus.
The scientific paper was released Tuesday in the peer-review journal "Nature Communications."
Dr. Amy Stone explains why some people are infected but have no symptoms but other people become very ill. She says that genetics play a major role.
Researchers are hoping that the new information will help them develop a better medicine to treat the virus.
