The state of Nevada is in the top 5 list of angriest drivers according to a report by InsuranceQuotes.com.
The analysis by the website measured the number of Instagram posts in each state with hashtag #RoadRage from 2013 to 2016.
The top 5 states are:
1. Hawaii (5,872 posts per 100,000 drivers)
2. California (3,506 posts)
3. New York (2,200 posts)
4. New Jersey (2,129 posts)
5. Nevada (2,004 posts)
The report also revealed the months, days and times when the hashtag was most used. August was the most aggravating month for drivers, with an average of 7,136 #RoadRage posts from 2013 to 2016. July was the second most aggravating month.
Meanwhile, drivers were least provoked in May, which had an average of 3,737 posts, and April followed as the second least aggravating month.
In addition, results showed that road rage peaks on Friday. Comparatively, Sunday is the calmest day on the roads. Similarly, motorists’ rage appears to increase throughout the day, peaking at the 6 p.m. hour.
