Clark County School District police say a 14-year-old girl brought a small handgun to Mojave High School on Friday.
Around noon, another student reported the girl had the gun on campus. Officers responded and took her into custody.
The school does not have metal detectors for day-to-day activities but detectors are used ahead of football games, including one Friday night.
