A teen beauty queen is fighting for her life.
Veronica Beauchamp is a high school senior in Henderson.
A few months ago, she got sick and lost all of her hair in just two weeks. Additionally, she began losing her eyesight and couldn't climb stairs anymore.
Doctors eventually diagnosed her with lupus and mixed-connective tissue disease.
Beauchamp says it was pretty hard to lose her hair, especially because she was in school when it happened. But, she knows that people shouldn't give up when the going gets rough.
Her illness has not stopped her though. She has taken home several big titles and plans to continue competing.
