Police are investigating a Friday morning shooting.
It was reported in the 5200 block of Mission Carmel Lane, near Meadows Lane and Decatur Boulevard around 5:23 a.m.
Investigators say the victim was inside their house when they heard a knock at the bathroom door. On the other side of the door was an unknown suspect.
A fight broke out between the suspect and the victim. The suspect got ahold of the victim's handgun.
The victim ran to the neighbor's house. The suspect fired several shots. There were no injuries. The victim received minor injuries from the fight but was not taken to the hospital.
The suspect is still on the loose.
