Study finds Nevada's schools among worst in country

Another study has ranked Nevada's school system as one of the worst in the country.

According to WalletHub, Nevada ranked 46th for its school system. WalletHub compared 50 states and the District of Columbia on measures including pupil to teacher ratio, dropout rate and median standardized test scores. 

Nevada was 46th for its math test scores, 43rd for reading test scores, 48th for pupil to teacher ratio, 51st for median ACT score, 49th for dropout rate and 37th for percentage of threatened or injured high school students. The Silver State fared slightly better when it came to median SAT scores at 32nd.

WalletHub determined that Massachusetts has the top school system in the country while New Mexico was the worst.
