A student living near the UNLV has a warning for women about a man seen exposing himself in the area.

Courtney asked 13 Action News not to use her last name because she fears for her safety, but told us she came home to the Rebel Place Apartments late Saturday night after work. She said she was about to get out of her car when she locked eyes with a young man who appeared to be between 25 and 30 years old in the parking lot.

"I'd never seen him before and he just kept staring at me," Courtney said.

She said she hesitated, rolled up the windows and then locked the doors and remained inside the car. She said she saw him again through her mirrors standing less than 10 feet away from her underneath a light pole. He had removed his pants and was exposing himself.

The next day she said she learned another female resident saw the same man outside her window. He was back again in less than 24 hours.

She said she got such a good look at the man that she was able to draw a sketch of him to show to police. She contacted 13 Action News because she felt she needed to do more to warn other women in the area.

"It just makes me feel like the community could be more safe," she said. "And if the residents knew then they could be alert and on the lookout."
