The new Olympia Sports Park opened Tuesday in Southern Highlands.
The park is across from Stuckey Elementary School. It features three full-size multipurpose fields, six basketball courts, a splash pad, a botanical garden and a scenic walking trail.
It was supposed to be built a decade ago but was stalled by developers. Clark County passed agenda items in June to halt the building of homes in Southern Highlands until the park was completed.
