Some say a bit of retail therapy is good for the soul. If that's your kind of cure, then the Soul Sisters Showroom could be everything you've hoped for and more.

The showroom opened up Thursday night at Tivoli Village in Las Vegas. It’s where the savvy shopper is almost guaranteed to find something to lift their spirits.

Cheryl Truesdale is the co-chair of the fundraiser. It takes place over the next three days. Thursday night was a preview and cocktail party for some exclusive customers who purchased tickets to get first dibs on the high-end merchandise.

"So there was frenzy! Back on the wall there was full of purses," Truesdale said. “I'd say about one third of them are left now."

Truesdale likes to call it an “upscale extravaganza” and there are plenty of high-end name brand items on sale at lower end prices.

“I always like to say if the super wealthy people had a garage sale you'd want to go to,” said Truesdale “That's kind of what this is.”

While some it is status symbol worthy, there are some more eclectic piece like household knickknacks and even any kind of elf you want on your Christmas shelf.

Truesdale said the event has raised more than $200,000 in the past. The money goes to the nonprofit Stillpoint Center for Spiritual Development.

Stillpoint Executive Director, Roxanne Rawson, said it’s an important event for them.

"Oh, it's huge,” Rawson said.  This is significant. This keeps our doors open.”

The Soul Sisters Showroom will be open Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2.p.m.

It’s at Tivoli Village, 420 S. Rampart #120, north of Kidsville.
