LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — While the government remains shutdown, national parks are a "free for al."

Unlike other parks like Yosemite and Joshua Tree which have been trashed during the shutdown, Red Rock is staying clean.

Officials say janitors are still coming in despite the shutdown to pick up trash and clean bathrooms.

However, with no entry attendants working at the gate, overcrowding, safety and parking has been an issue since the shutdown.

For permit holders who have special contracts with the park, it's business as usual, they are still expected to pay fees to the Bureau of Land Management.
