A shooting victim fled for his life around 10:57 p.m. Sunday.
Reports say the victim was approached by a heavy-set black male suspect in the 4000 block of Pacific Harbors Drive. After a brief conversation, the suspect took out a gun and shot the victim.
The victim ran to 2600 East Flamingo Road where police and medical crews responded. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Police are still searching for the suspect.
