The company that bartenders say hired them for the Route 91 Harvest music festival went out of business, resulting in an investigation surrounding hiring practices.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Saturday that many of the bartenders say they didn't receive proper pay. At least five said they expected to make a couple thousand dollars as bartenders working for Roar Staffing and Production, but instead received $757 each in cash.
Geoff Hinds, listed as the president of Roar in state documents, did not respond to a request for comment. Geoff Jones, who helped to hire many of the bartenders who staffed the event, also did not return a request for comment.
58 were killed at the festival in question when a gunman opened fire before killing himself.
