A road rage incident is caught on camera, but there is more to the story than meets the eye.

13 Action News was sent the video after the verbal altercation Sunday morning.

Myke, an openly gay man, said he was in a Custom City tow truck when the people in his car and the cab driver exchanged words after the cab had slightly swerved in front of the tow truck.

Myke, who captured part of the argument on video, said he was extremely offended when the cab driver called him a homophobic slur.

"I'm still shaken up about it cause it came out of nowhere," Myke said.

Once 13 Action News started to investigate, the cab driver reached out to us wanting to tell his story.

Bryan Anderson said moments before the video he was called a racial slur. He also said he has been on high alert after another driver was beaten and robbed nearly a week ago.

"I probably could have used better vocabulary, because I do, but I was anxious and anxiety came over me like that," Anderson said.

Anderson filed an incident report with his boss after the argument. We're told the tow truck driver did the same.

While this moment doesn't bring out the best of either party, it's a lesson learned.

"I'm glad we're going to the news about this minor situation and not bloodshed on the street," Anderson said.
