People living in Desert shores say they're having more water fowl issues. This time, they say someone is stealing the ducks and possibly eating them for dinner.
Ruth Pullara has lived in the community for 15 years.
She pretty much knows all the ducks by name.
She filed a police report with Las Vegas police after another resident claims to have seen a guy steal a duck, throw it in his van, and drive off.
"It's heart wrenching," said Pullara. "It just breaks my heart. It's my feeling that he's eating them and I think he probably thinks oh let's just drive up to the end of the street and have dinner....get dinner for the night."
Las Vegas police are investigating the incident as animal cruelty. No arrests have been made.
This incident comes after years of wrongdoing to the waterfowl like snapping swans heads, mutilating baby swans, and smashing their eggs.
