A resident is being treated for smoke inhalation after a fire Wednesday morning.

The fire started around 8:50 a.m. in the 900 block of Pyramid Drive, near Washington Avenue and Valley View Boulevard.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue said bystanders pulled a resident from the backyard. That person was taken to University Medical Center.

The cause is under investigation.
