Project Homeless Connect and hundreds of volunteers are helping locals in need during a special event on Nov. 26 at the Champion Center at 3900 E. Bonanza Road. The event will take place 9 a.m. through 4 p.m.

Project Homeless Connect is a one stop shop for all critical resources. The event gives people who are homeless or are at risk of being homeless a hand up in their time of need.

Over 150 organizations offer housing help, health care, legal advice, haircuts, showers, and much more.

Medical care for her dog and two cats was top priority for JJ Haelee.

"Unfortunately , we can't really afford much other bills for bet services so that's why we come here," Haelee explained. In years past, Haelee needed much more than pet care. That's why she and many others will walk in to the event empty handed and leave with a grateful heart.

"They're the best thing for Las Vegas," Haelee said.

More than 2,500 people were helped during last year's event.
