Pond animals are turning up dead in a country club community near Flamingo and Nellis, and neighbors are horrified.
Martha Arreguin discovered several dead fish, ducks and birds on a walk around the neighborhood.
Neighbors say seven animals have been found.
Arreguin believes the deaths stem from a club maintenance worker she saw pouring white powdered chemicals into the pond.
She says he told her it was to kill bad algae.
"I asked him if that was safe for the wildlife and he said yes," Arreguin said. "In a couple days, I see all the creatures dying."
No managers were on site to comment Saturday.
