Nevada has long been a battleground state when it comes to electing presidents.
In fact, Nevada voters have leaned in favor of every winning candidate going back to 1980.
That's why the important issues here could have a big impact on the rest of the nation.
"I think that's what important to Nevada voters specifically is where we are in education right now," said Zach Smith, a junior at Faith Lutheran High School. "We're so far back that we need to put an emphasis on education to improve it."
Not everyone is excited about this year's elections. According to the latest CNN-ORC poll, half of Nevada voters are less than enthusiastic about voting for president.
