As the Republican primary in South Carolina wraps up, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio will be making stops around Nevada ahead of Tuesday's caucus.
The presidential candidate held a rally at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Texas Station hotel-casino in North Las Vegas.
Rubio's speech was a mix of policy ideas, such as downsizing the federal government, and his own family's history.
Rubio was met with applause when he talked about his father's experience as a bartender at Sam's Town.
Rubio said we're in danger of losing the American dream, and pointed to his parents as an example of the spirit he's trying to recapture in this country.
"They (worked) because they wanted to make enough money to own a home and retire with dignity and give their kids a chance to be anything they wanted to be," Rubio said.
