Election 2020: Important dates to know

Here are some important dates and deadlines for this year's election:

IMPORTANT DATES AND DEADLINES

Oct. 6 — Close of mail-in and in-person standard registration

Oct. 6 — Date for FPCA submittals by postal mail

Oct. 15 — Up to Oct. 15, you may register to vote vote or update your existing registration ONLY on the Secretary of State's website to be eligible to vote a regular ballot in the current election.

Between Oct. 17 and 29 — If you register to vote online or update your existing registration online, you may only vote a provisional ballot by appearing in-person at any early voting site or Election Day vote center.

Important note: When you check-in to vote, you must show a current and valid (unexpired) NEVADA Driver’s License, NEVADA State Identification card, or NEVADA DMV "Interim Document", all of which must have an address that matches the one in the online registration. If the address does not match, you must additionally show other acceptable proof of residency.

Oct. 17-30 — Early voting. Any voter registered in Clark County may vote at any early voting site within the County. You may also register and vote (same-day registration) or immediately update your existing registration (including name, address, and party) at any early voting site.

Oct. 27 — Due date for FPCA submittals by e-mail or fax.

Oct. 29 — Last day for online same-day registration and updates.

Nov. 3 — Absentee ballot deadlines must be postmarked by Nov. 3.
