UPDATE: The wanted man who escaped police custody more than two weeks ago has finally been caught. 39-year old Ivan Mayoral was arrested after a seven hour standoff.

More than 60 officers surrounded a home on Bath Drive, near Tenaya Way and Centennial Parkway, for more than seven hours on Sunday. They tried to negotiate with Mayoral. He is the man who escaped police custody after allegedly stealing a car, which initiated a city wide manhunt.

Police say Mayoral was spotted running down the street with a gun after a separate incident in the neighborhood. Police chased the man until he bolted into a random persons home.

"As he was running from us, he saw the first place he thought he could from us," said Lt. Jeff Goodwin.

Mayoral ran into an 800-square-feet casita. The woman who lived there was inside the home at the time. Police say she was able to get out unharmed. Seven hours of negotiations, two flash bangs, and six non-lethal bullets later, police had Mayoral in custody with just a few self inflicted scrapes and bruises.

"There were no shots fired and nobody was injured this afternoon," said Lt. Goodwin.

Police say the suspect has multiple felonies against him, as well as several warrants, and even an alias.
