LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A viewer called 13 Action News on Sunday saying that they witnessed a body recovery at Sunset Park Lake.
The viewer said they witnessed the events unfold at the park.
Reporter Jeremy Chen went to the scene after the call, he said police divers pulled out a body. Multiple witnesses said there was a drowning.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and Clark County Park Police cleared the scene after a few hours.
The Clark County Coroner has identified the body as 38-year-old Johnny Ray Mims, Jr.
No city of residence has been revealed, and the cause of death is still pending.
