LATEST UPDATE: Police have arrested 23-year-old Sean Szymborski for the attack that left one man dead and another one injured in North Las Vegas on Friday afternoon.

A 55-year-old man was found deceased in the home and a 71-year-old man was found with non-life threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation indicates that Szymborski attacked both victims inside the home. All three of the men lived in the home.

Lee Szymborski says his son Sean is bipolar and has severe mental illness. He says he had a father's intuition that something terrible was going to happen.

Lee Szymborski says Sean was a victim of patient dumping. He says a mental hospital released Sean without stabilizing him and without medication.

"It needs to be a crime to dump mentally ill people on the streets," Lee Szymborski said. "(They're) some of the most helpless people of our society who probably don't even have the depth of understanding or the money to know they've been dumped."

Sean Szymborski was arrested and faces the charges of first degree murder, domestic battery with substantial bodily harm victim over 60, first degree kidnapping and first degree kidnapping victim over 60.

The man killed was identified as Peter H. Stebbins of North Las Vegas. He died from asphyxia due to suffocation and strangulation.

SECOND UPDATE: 13 Action News got a hold of a fourth roommate who saw the incident happen and called the police. His first name is Quentin, but he was uncomfortable providing his last name to the media.

His says it all started Friday morning when he heard commotion outside of his bedroom.

“I heard Sean telling him every time you move or even twitch, I'm going to knee you in the face," Quentin recalled.

Then he walked out of his bedroom and saw two of his roommates hog-tied and covered in blood. He immediately called 911 and the roommate who was responsible fled. Police were able to catch and arrest him before he got away.

Quentin describes the suspect as mentally ill.

"He's obviously schizophrenic because I would hear him talking to himself and yelling to himself. He would laugh to himself," said Quentin.

Even though the suspect is behind bars, Quentin says it’s time to find a new place to live.  He was just renting a room in the house.

UPDATE: Police say the incident happened inside of the home, and involved three adult male roommates.

Police have confirmed man is dead. A second man was taken to the hospital. The third is in custody as the primary suspect in this case.

Police captured him in the neighborhood shortly after arriving to the scene. A neighbor called 911 at about 11:40 a.m. on Friday when she noticed something was wrong.

Investigators say this is not a random incident. All three men involved knew each other very well.

Police do not believe there are any more suspects at large. They are still investigating the exact cause of death in this case. They haven't confirmed whether it was a shooting, stabbing, or none of the above.
