The road near Tropicana Avenue and Spencer Street was blocked off this morning as police conducted an investigation of a bizarre homicide case.
It started last night at a nearby apartment complex where a man stabbed a woman he was living with. Police say he then took off in her car, naked and covered in blood.
The man eventually crashed into a 7-Eleven. When a nearby citizen tried to help him, the man attacked.

Police say the man is now in the hospital. They are still investigating whether or not he was intoxicated.
The road near Tropican Avenue and Spencer Street is back open, though police say they will continue to investigate the area until the afternoon.
