Police say the man who stole nachos from a Las Vegas Strip convenience store before shooting at employees now faces burglary, assault and weapons charges.
The police report says 24-year-old Anthony Gioiosa was arrested Monday following the 1:30 a.m. cheese snack-related shooting at the AM/PM store on Las Vegas Boulevard near Tropicana Avenue.
Police say Gioiosa and another man made a tray of nachos and walked out without paying, telling the store clerk that they were gangsters who don't pay.
When the clerk confronted him again outside, Gioiosa allegedly grabbed a gun and fired a shot at the employees inside the store.
Jaime Valdez, the store's manager, says it's the first time a thief has used a gun at the store. He instructs his employees not to chase after thieves.
No one was hurt.
Police say Gioiosa then drove off but was seen later at another AM/PM. He was arrested after a short car chase.
It's unclear if he has an attorney.
