Police evacuated a few blocks of West Tropicana Avenue after a suspicious device was found Saturday afternoon.
The device was found in a news stand around 1 p.m. at West Tropicana Avenue and South Procyon Avenue. Tropicana Avenue was shut down from Polaris Avenue to Valley View Boulevard.
Officers found a box and deemed it to be safe. Crime scene tape was removed and the road was being reopened.
